San Andres is the second largest municipality in the province of Catanduanes in terms of population an land area. It is situated 17 kilometers northwest of Virac, the capital town of the province. On the north, it is bounded by the municipality of Caramoran, on its northwest the MAqueda Channel and on the southwest portion by the Lagonoy Gulf.
